At Takenaka Corporation, their philosophy is to contribute to society by passing on the best works to future generations. They believe it is an important social responsibility for those in the construction industry to be proactive in realizing a sustainable global society; and thus they create architecture that responds both to the needs of the age and to the expectations of clients.

This, they believe, is an asset to society as a whole, as well as an enduring symbol of their culture. Takenaka adheres to their company’s history: their were founded some 400 years ago by a master carpenter and, despite these challenging times, that tradition is reflected in their core values and underpins their enduring management philosophy.
