About
Since its founding in 1962, their firm has sought to create architecture that serves people.
At the same time, they want to elicit delight and amaze: with the contrast between the past and the present in the former Abbey of Middelburg, with the play of light in Seinpost Residence, with the celebration of space in the Amsterdam Music Theatre, or the power of Rotterdam as expressed in several projects on the Kop van Zuid.
They believe that experience is about knowing that when you drink hot tea, you might burn your tongue. Experience may never become a burden that blurs the way to freedom and creativity. Experience is about the seemingly effortless translation of complex assignments into clear concepts and powerful designs.
